Make A New Garden Bed

It's a good time to start a new garden bed!

Save time and energy and don't dig.

Pick a sunny, level spot in your lawn that you will see on a daily basis.

Find a large piece of cardboard the size of the bed that you want to make. Lay it on the grass and secure it to the ground with bricks or stones or rocks or landscape pins. If you want to add a raised bed this is the time to do it.

Next add 6-8 inches of garden soil that's made for planting outside or made for container gardening if it's in a raised bed.

Water it lightly and begin planting(when your temps are best for planting). Consider adding mulch to keep the soil from drying out, reduce the weeds and maintain soil temperature. After you plant, check it daily and water if it's dry.
