How does a virtual consult work?
How can I get a garden plan customized to me and where I live?
Send me a few photos of the area, ideas you have and any sketches you've already made and let's schedule a virtual consult.
The consult will last one hour. Please write down your questions and bring them when we meet. A pen and paper might be handy to take notes as we talk.
During the consult I'll ask questions to clarify your vision.
I'll be asking what plants/flowers you'd like to see and which seasons you'd like garden interest.
I'll review your photos and I might ask to see your home with Google Earth for better ideas of where the sun shines. I might share my screen to show you ideas or I might ask you to share your screen/video of the area to get a better idea of how best to help.
It’s good to know WHO the garden is "for" and WHO will be caring for it and HOW MUCH TIME you or the other person has to spend on maintenance.
It's also good to know if your watering source is close and how often you will be passing by/visiting or looking at the garden.
Do you have any experience gardening? If so, what's worked and not worked for you?
I do have many inexpensive ideas for protection from critters.
We can talk about all the above in the consult.
After the consult, you'll get a summary of what we discussed, recommended actions as well as educational materials, quote and projected timeline for any work you'd like done and planting idea sketches, if desired.
