Blooming orchids, or not!

How can I get my orchids to bloom again?

Check - are leaves and stems still green?

Undress - remove any clips or stakes

Snip - cut stems 1" above a healthy node.

Cut - any stems without healthy nodes or that have died back to the base

Let it sleep

Shade - place near a window but no direct sunlight

Ice, ice, baby - add three ice cubes each week

Feed - monthly with a 20-20-20 fertilizer

Wake it up

When - fall or early winter

Chill - move to a cooler spot, 60 degrees is good

Rhythm - cool night, warm days

Look for life - growth from nodes

Patience - can take up to a year!

Reblooming

Stay - keep plant where it was till a full bloom

Support - clip stalks to stakes

Sun - plant can be moved into sunlight again

Return to normal - water when dry, fertilize biweekly

No more flowers - stalk is done growing, repeat above process!
